What are some good Facebook video ad examples?

The best Facebook video ads open on the product in use within the first three seconds, make sense with the sound off, and end on one clear next step. Meta's own research found 65% of people who watch the first three seconds keep watching for at least ten. Below are 10 real ads, grouped by type.

Which Facebook video ads show the product being used?

These ads come from the Meta Ad Library, which we checked for this guide. A long run means the advertiser kept the ad on, not that it made sales. The first group is the easiest to copy: hands, a product and a job it does. Karola Karlson says the first 3 seconds matter most.

The four ads below put the product on screen doing its job, and each adds one line of text to explain what you're watching.

GlowRight video ad

GlowRight: installing an under-shelf kitchen light

The install happens on screen, and the caption names the magnets as the reason it's easy, which answers the first objection. The headline is a customer quote, backed by a five-star line in the text.

Mason Genie video ad

Mason Genie: a vacuum lid on a mason jar

The headline promises a trick ("#1 Mason Jar Hack"), and a hand pressing the lid on a kitchen counter delivers it. An on-screen label reading "no bugs" states the benefit without sound.

Aerovac - World's No.1 Portable Vacuum Brand video ad

Aerovac: a handheld vacuum on a car mat

The cleaning is the whole demo, and the gift framing in the headline gives a buyer a reason to act now.

Chubbycable video ad

Chubbycable: a phone privacy screen protector

A warning opens the text and names a fear, and the caption compares the product with the plain glass protectors viewers already know. At 62 seconds it is the longest in this set.

Which video ads lead with a story or a bold claim?

Not every product can be demonstrated in a few seconds. These three open with an emotion, a gift idea or a claim, then show the product to back it up. They run longer, 42 to 49 seconds, so the opening line has to earn the next ten seconds.

Mixtiles Decor Ideas video ad

Mixtiles: canvas prints in a family home

The scene of parents lifting a baby beside a large print sells the feeling before the product. The offer sits in the headline: free shipping.

ThatCove video ad

ThatCove: a fill-in memory book as a gift

The headline says what you get (their life, their story, your book), and a hand flipping through the pages shows the product. The gift angle suits a buyer who is shopping for someone else.

Othemo video ad

Othemo: a headlamp with a first-of-its-kind claim

The headline leads with a specific claim, "The World's First 230° Headlamp". It is the only ad here with a Learn more button instead of Shop now, which fits a product that needs explaining.

What do short, low-effort video ads look like?

Short clips are the cheapest to copy. Karola Karlson notes that performance ads tend to run 15 seconds or less, and Shopify reports that Kitty Poo Club cut one-minute testimonials into two 30-second videos after seeing people click through or bounce after 15 seconds. The three ads below range from 3 to 26 seconds.

Ooomay video ad

Ooomay: a POV tote bag clip

The "POV" opener and hands unzipping the bag copy the plain look of creator video, and the headline puts the saving up front: 49% off.

Rumpl video ad

Rumpl: a rolled blanket on a red background

A 3-second clip with one prop, one background and one line of gift-themed text. A small shop could copy the setup in one shoot.

Lettuce Grow video ad

Lettuce Grow: herbs growing in glass vases

The caption "these are no ordinary vases" creates curiosity, and the sunlit table shows the product in a real kitchen. It runs 26 seconds.

How do I make my own Facebook video ad?

Five steps

  1. Pick one product and one type from above. If you only have photos, our guide to static ad examples shows a lighter place to start.
  2. Open on the product in use. Meta's video ad guidance says to introduce your brand within the first 2-3 seconds.
  3. Make it work muted. Meta reports captioned video ads increase view time by an average of 12%, and its Feed spec lists captions as optional but recommended.
  4. Export 4:5 at 1440 x 1800 pixels for Feed, or 9:16 at 1080x1920 for Reels.
  5. Add one button and one offer in the headline, as A1 and A2 do.

Our tool, ScaleShot, does steps 1 to 4: it learns your store from its link, logo, colours and fonts, and its Ads Agent makes AI UGC creator videos or animated styles such as claymation and paper cutout, in 4-10 second clips. Video costs 10 credits per second, and plans start at $19.95 for the first 2 weeks, then $42 every 2 weeks. It runs Facebook and Instagram only, and Meta bills ad spend separately. Common Facebook video ad questions

How long should a Facebook video ad be?

Feed accepts 1 second to 241 minutes, and Reels tops out at 60 seconds per Sprout Social. The Library ads above run from 3 to 62 seconds, so length matters less than the first few seconds.

Do Facebook video ads need sound?

No. Meta's research found 41% of videos were basically meaningless without sound, so put the key claim in on-screen text or captions.

Can I copy these ads?

Copy the pattern, not the footage: the hook type, the offer in the headline, the one-line caption. The ads belong to their brands, and you can find more in the Meta Ad Library.

Do I need a pixel to run a video ad?

In ScaleShot, a Sales campaign needs a pixel with Purchase events, Leads needs Lead events, and Visitors needs no pixel.
