What is the best Facebook ads agent for a small business?
A Facebook ads agent should do the work: ScaleShot's Ads Agent researches your market, writes a 30-day plan, makes the ads, launches them and asks before it changes anything. Shopify's Campaign Autopilot adds no fee on paid Shopify plans but is in early access. Birch centres on automated rules for ads you already have.

What is a Facebook ads agent?
A Facebook ads agent is software that builds, launches or adjusts your Meta ad campaigns so you don't have to work in Ads Manager by hand. The six tools below differ on one point that matters for a small shop: some write the ads, and some only run rules on ads you already made.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| ScaleShotUs | Image and video ads, made and launched on Meta | $19.95 for the first 2 weeks | $42 every 2 weeks, 500 credits | Yes, Facebook and Instagram; asks before changes |

Prices are each vendor's published price, and they change.
Prices are each vendor's own published price. Ad spend is billed by Meta on top of any tool price. We make ScaleShot, so it is listed with the same facts as the others.

1. ScaleShot: best for owners who need the ads made and launched
ScaleShot (ours) learns your business from a website or Shopify store link, plus your logo, colours, fonts and voice. Its Ads Agent, a chat, researches the market, writes a 30-day plan and makes image ads and short video ads (AI UGC creator videos, or claymation, 3D, paper cutout and stop-motion styles, 4-10 second clips). Everything lands in a Library where you can remix or edit it. With a connected Meta ad account it launches Facebook and Instagram campaigns, shows results, and pauses ads or changes budgets, and it always asks before it changes anything. Our AI ad generator page covers the image and video creative side.
Pricing
Image ads cost 10 credits (Fast) or 20 (HQ), and video costs 10 credits per second. Plans carry 500, 1,000 or 2,000 credits per period; the 2-week plan is $19.95 for the first 2 weeks, then $42 every 2 weeks. There is a 14-day money-back guarantee, and you can cancel any time in Settings -> Billing.
Where it falls short
- Meta only: no Google, TikTok or other ad networks, and no human creators or agency service.
- It does not guarantee sales or ROAS, and ad spend is not included.
- Sales campaigns need a pixel with Purchase events, Leads campaigns need Lead events, and Visitors campaigns need no pixel.

2. Shopify Campaign Autopilot: Meta ad campaign tool built into Shopify
Shopify launched Campaign Autopilot on June 17, 2026; it can create a new ad account or connect an existing one and run campaigns across Meta. You set the budget and guardrails and can approve what runs before it goes live. It uses your store's products, customers and sales data to recommend actions across Meta, Shop Campaigns and email.
Pricing
It is free for brands on paid Shopify plans; you pay only for ad spend with Meta and for Shop Campaigns and email.
Where it falls short
- Early access: only qualifying stores on paid plans can use it.
- It is built for Shopify merchants, so local service businesses without a Shopify store need another tool.
- It does not change existing manual campaigns.
3. Madgicx: Meta ads management with analytics
Madgicx's plan covers automation, targeting, analytics, ad management and AI ad creation, built around Meta ads. If you're weighing it against ScaleShot, we wrote a comparison of Madgicx alternatives.
Pricing
Madgicx does not publish a price on its pricing page; it shows one in the app after you pick an ad-spend tier (under $1K up to $30K+ a month) and a billing cycle of monthly, quarterly or annual. It offers a 7-day free trial, and a Tracking Pro add-on costs $49 a month.
Where it falls short
- No price is shown until you start setup.
- The price depends on your ad-spend tier, so it changes as you spend more.

4. Birch: ad management tool with automated rules
Birch is an ad-management tool whose Pro plan includes automated rules, a Launcher and audience builders; Essential covers workspaces, post boosting and reports. It works across Meta, Google, Snapchat and TikTok accounts, and revealbot.com now redirects to bir.ch. For the wider category, see our guide to Facebook ads automation tools.
Pricing
Essential lists at $49 a month and Pro at $99 a month; Enterprise is custom. Price is based on total monthly ad spend across connected accounts, annual billing takes 20% off, and the trial is 14 days with no card.
Where it falls short
- Its plans list rules, reports and launching, not image or video creation.
- Automated rules sit on Pro, not Essential.
5. Canva Grow: design tool with AI ad concepts and Meta publishing
Canva unveiled Grow 2.0 on June 25, 2026, with rollout starting in North America, Australia and the UK. It generates AI ad concepts, publishes in bulk to Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn, and shows cross-platform dashboards.
Pricing
Creation and publishing are on all Canva plans, including Free; AI Ad Tagging is limited to Business and Enterprise. Canva's own pages did not open for us, so check its pricing page before relying on this.
Where it falls short
- DigitalApplied notes that you still own offer positioning, audience targeting and budget decisions.
How do I choose a Facebook ads agent?
We included tools that either make Meta ads or connect to a Meta ad account, and took prices only from vendor pages. Then match the tool to your situation:
- Need Meta ads made and launched, from a Shopify store link or any website? ScaleShot does both. Campaign Autopilot, for comparison, adds no fee on paid Shopify plans.
- Want image or video ads, including AI UGC creator videos, made and launched on Meta? ScaleShot covers both. Canva Grow publishes ads in bulk to Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn.
- Managing ads you already run? ScaleShot shows results and pauses ads or changes budgets, asking before any change.
- Creative only? ScaleShot makes image and video ads and launches them on Meta. AdCreative.ai Starter is $39 a month for 10 credits and 1 brand, with a 7-day free trial, and its homepage describes generating and scoring creatives rather than launching campaigns. Predis Core is $24 a month for 1,300 credits. Plans and prices for other AI ad generators are in our roundup of AI ad generators.
Common Facebook ads agent questions
Do I need a Shopify store to use one?
Only for Campaign Autopilot, which needs a paid Shopify plan. ScaleShot can learn a business from any website link or a Shopify store link.
Can I try one before paying?
Madgicx and AdCreative.ai offer a 7-day free trial, and Birch offers 14 days with no card. ScaleShot's entry offer is paid, with a 14-day money-back guarantee.
Will an agent change my ads without asking?
Campaign Autopilot requires you to approve paid tactics before they run and stays inside your budget guardrails. ScaleShot's Ads Agent always asks before it changes anything.
Do I need a Meta pixel?
With ScaleShot it depends on the goal: Sales needs a pixel with Purchase events, Leads needs Lead events, and Visitors needs none.
