Connect Meta to Scaleshot

Connect Meta and confirm the ad account and Facebook Page for your ads.

Not set up in Meta yet? Start with Set up your Meta business account.

How to connect

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations and click Connect Meta Ads Account.

  2. Continue with Facebook. Select your Page and approve every requested permission.

  3. If there is one eligible ad account, Scaleshot selects it for you. If there are several, choose the account where your campaigns should run and be billed.

  4. If that account has one usable Facebook Page, Scaleshot selects it. If there are several Pages, choose the identity your ads should use.

  5. Review the account and Page, use Change if needed, then click Done.

You do not need a pixel to connect Meta. Scaleshot checks conversion tracking when you create a Sales or Leads campaign. Visitors campaigns do not need a pixel.

To set a default pixel ahead of time, open Advanced → Conversion tracking on the Meta card in Settings → Integrations.

What the permissions are for

  • Run ads — create and manage campaigns in your ad account.
  • Read results — pull performance data into Scaleshot so you can see what's working.
  • Publish through your Page — your ads run under your Page's identity on Facebook and Instagram.

Change your setup

Go to Settings → Integrations:

  • Click Manage, then Change beside the ad account or Facebook Page.
  • To change your pixel, open a Sales or Leads campaign in the campaign builder and use the tracking controls under Goal.

These choices apply to new campaigns. Existing campaigns stay in the Meta account where they were created.

If something is missing

  • Wrong Facebook account: Facebook connects whichever account is signed in to your browser. Type facebook.com into your browser's address bar, log out, log in with the right account, then connect again. On a phone, log out in the browser you use for Scaleshot, not the Facebook app.
  • No ad account or Page: confirm your Facebook login has access in Meta Business Settings, then reconnect.
  • No pixel: assign the dataset to this ad account in Business Settings → Data sources → Datasets, then check again.
  • Lookup failed: click Try again. Your saved setup is not changed by a failed check.
  • Reconnect needed: reconnect with Facebook. Ads already running on Meta may keep spending while access is unavailable.

When you disconnect, Scaleshot first tries to pause every launched campaign. If one cannot be paused, follow the link to Meta Ads Manager and pause it there before finishing the disconnect.
